Found this by chance .. was looking for something else...
This is really very emotional, because of the sentiment it is expressing.
Have they shown it yet on TV, I don't know but wonder if it is too heart wrenching to be shown.

Burley - have you thought about working with an animal charity? Might make you feel better.
It will make me feel better about lonely people ?? Are you always this stupid ???

Don't bother answering, I already know ! !
No, I asked you if you could channel your energies into doing something useful for animals or lonely people. Clearly not though - just carry on being abusive on the internet.
Did the kitten die or not?
Tilly - no!
Mawkish manipulation, totally unsuited for Christmas, but JL know all the free publicity it will get, will spread their name around. Billions of pounds worth of free publicity, and they don't really care a toss about your cat, just their profits.
Why is the 'festive season' any different to any other time of year?
Canary...have you read through the thread? It seems this is not actually a JL ad but rather 'in the style of'.
Good to hear, Wolf. :-)

It's a pretty little thing...for a cat.
// Why is the 'festive season' any different to any other time of year? //

Quite!

Why are Xmas commercials even allowed to appear on our TV sets? It's far too early.

There ought to be a censorship ban. No Xmas ads until 3rd December! Comeback Constance... All is forgiven!
The point of this spoof advert is to sell the single to raise money for two charities - Re-engage and Friends of the Elderly

Commendable!

However let it not be under the guise of Xmas. Especially at this time, early in the month of November.

It's not all about money. The keeping and being in line with tradition is just as important. Else its meaning is forgotten!

Zeb, I'm a Christian and realise that times have changed. Many people of different faiths and no faith celebrate Christmas so the true meaning has no relevance to them, but if 'the spirit of Christmas' encourages more donations to charity that is all to the good.

Christmas starts for me on the 27th November this year - the start of Advent. I try to ignore it before then
Thanks for the link Tilly, found on Youtube to embed it:

I like it, also a bit sad and kind.
// Christmas starts for me on the 27th November this year - the start of Advent. //

I applaud this!

//I try to ignore it before then//

Unfortunately you have succumbed to the early advertising and commercialism that now drives Xmas in this country :-(
Have I? I don't watch tv adverts, we only buy gifts for under 18s in the family and compared to many our Christmas is very low key.
Thank you, Arky.
