I've worn a white poppy for many years now and will continue to do so.

It's becoming more common according to this article:

//Togo. Would you say the same if I sported a pink swastika?//

I always assumed you did. (⊙_⊙)
Togo; I bow before your comedic talent. I am in the presnce of a master. (Is that image meant to be a Revox [circa 1972], or a robot, or a poor gal whose had an appendectomy?)
I won't cross swords with you again for a few days (until my new scriptwriter starts work) :-)
Chris has let it be known that he is on the autistic spectrum which I believe explains the way he feels differently about certain things than most of us. Autism is linked to lower levels of empathy.
I won’t be wearing a poppy of any colour, because I choose to give to other charities which don’t require me to display their symbols on my clothes.

As mentioned earlier, I do get slightly irritated by every single person on telly wearing a poppy. Do they all donate? Or do the tv companies buy a job lot and pin them on while miking the people up?

Buenchico - I can only apologise that much of this thread has turned into personal attacks on you which of course was never the intention. Some of the posters here should be ashamed of themselves.
"Some of the posters here should be ashamed of themselves." - you mean like someone who encourages suicide? Someone who has nothing but disdain for the millions who fought and died to create a safe nation for someone like him to hold them in contempt? Right oh!
Question Author
Actually TTT I mean for example extreme right-wing posters like you. I suppose there's no chance that one day you might see the light.
So you agree with encouraging suicide? Conning pensioners? disdain for our servicemen that died to create the state from which you are allowed to hate them. Right oh diddly got you!
diddly you agree with this then:
1. Caring about another person is a WEAKNESS to be ABHORRED.
2. Life is ONLY about winning and losing - absolutely nothing else matters.
3. If I'm alive and someone else is dead, then I win and they lose - RESULT!

You do realise that you don't matter to him either don't you? See 1 and 3 above.
diddly: "I suppose there's no chance that one day you might see the light." - what light?
oops I think diddly has just realised what she's siding with! ...and I'm supposed to be the right winger! PMSL!
I don't agree with Chris's views but I respect that this is how he sees things and who are we to say that he is wrong?

The only difference between him and any other person who has a strange outlook on life (I include myself in that category) is that he has told us his views.

He says openly that he works to do the opposite of the samaritans, to actively encourage suicide, that can't be right.
I know that he is a mod but there is no indication that he is a bad person.

He is not petty and there is no indication that he has ever misused his power as a mod.

None of us is perfect (or, in my case, purrfect)☺

TTT - does it matter what he thinks?

wolf: "I know that he is a mod but there is no indication that he is a bad person." - so this is not a bad person? right oh!

//I despise the Samaritans as they work for the opposite of what the online groups I work with are striving for, which is a MASSIVE increase (perhaps 10,000 fold) in the suicide rate.//

//I'm fully aware of the (utterly stupid) law. That's why I reveal very little detail about the work that I, and many thousands of others, do in order to maximise the suicide rate. //

"TTT - does it matter what he thinks? " - yes, especially when he's allowed to judge others. Crikey people accuse me of being right wing! I'm an amateur! If this site has that sort of person as a mod then I'm disturbed.
how about this little Gem:
//I HAVE burnt copies of the Q'ran and would proudly do so again, as I would with ALL religious texts.//
