That reminds me of the joke at the time: "Hey look there's a bloke coming out of the supermarket laden with tortillas, paella and corona" "That's his panic buying..."

"...they cost more than loo rolls and are extremely painful."

Only if it's hard news though.
All I know, the prices have shot sky high!
A word of warning, don't put kitchen towel paper down the loo, unless you want a blocked toilet.
//Why do people put the roll on the holder to dispense under rather than over ?//

If you pull from under it lifts the roll away from the wall so it runs easily - if you pull from over it presses into the wall & locks up, tearing off before you have the required number of sheets (simples).
Wise words, Patsy. And don't pour fat or grease down the plughole.
Davebro; you've got the wrong sort of dispenser.
Anyway, Davebro. how many sheets do you need?
//Anyway, Davebro. how many sheets do you need?//

You wouldn't believe me if I told you - bog roll would be the last of my economies.
Davebro; I wondered how many sheets per sheet!
OVER.
If the holder is on a tiled wall, and there is a little condensation on the tiles......(as in after a shower or bath)....then the paper would get wet by touching the tiles.
a) I don't have tiles on that wall.
b) I sheet *before* having a bath or shower.
// I'm not surprised you have, Zebu. //

Don't knock it gness. Each sheet is medicated!
Oh well that's all right then, Zebu. For fun can you let us know when you have used it all please?
could be a while - he's got piles!
I understood that atheist...I mean now. I'd probably have reservations about using newspapers from a chip shop...who's been handling it etc etc etc. ;) ;)
Pasta; I suspect that their hands would be cleaner than your bum!
Being pedantic (what me!) chip shops aren't allowed to use newspaper for wrapping for years now. Elf & safety y'know.
Just be thankful we are not still using -----sticks, stones, moss, twigs, pebbles, rags .
Dont know, just use the Guardian, its free in a lot of places too.

Works just fine as I know from personal experience.

HaHa... IZAL toilet rolls are like candles. There use is confined to emergencies only. They're currently stored in a dry secure place hoping never to be used again!
