I ended up on a boat by mistake..... :o(
What was supposed to be a 'minibus drive along the Amalfi Coast' involved slightly less tarmac and far more water than I had signed up for. LoL
much the best way, jack, driving along the Amalfi coast is a nightmare. We got about five miles before turning back in terror. (We were in a British vehicle so the driver was on the wrong side for seeing Alfa Romeos hurtling round the next corner at us.) It all looks much prettier from the water too.
Been up to not a lot except for looking at bungalows and getting wound up. So now unwinding and slowing down on it all for a while. What will be will be. Nice to see you back.

//I ended up on a boat by mistake//

Are you really Liz Truss?! Since that is a similar level of cock up. ;)
// Are you really Liz Truss? //

That remark goes beyond the pale! Consider yourself reprimanded BM! ;-)
Glad you’re back Helen.
Had a delightful champagne afternoon tea yesterday, a scrumptious full cooked breakfast brunch earlier today, and am now dipping a Crunchie in my cuppa.
Dog ate some acorns yesterday before we could stop him (they’re HUGE this year) so I woke up to a pile of acorny dog vomit this morning, bless him :(

Yeah OK, Zebu. Fair point, well made.

I withdraw that remark. (But JtH will know that I mean no harm at all) ;)
15.33 Sorry- wrong thread!
Should we be concerned jth doesn’t know the difference between a boat and a bus ?
No worries Barmaid. Although I have to say,

'You're old enough to know worse' ;-)
Lol.....
I 'do' know the difference between a boat and a bus but the cock-up was not of our making (honest!).
We were collected by a minibus/taxi as we expected to be but then after driving for 15 minutes, or so, he dropped us off in a car-park and told us to go round the side of a building and the drove away. We expected to find another vehicle which would take us onwards.....and to be fair, we did; the only trouble was that it was a boat. :o(
We went back from Amalfi to Sorrento using one of the local buses; this was stomach-clenching in its' own way.

It was one of the most 'interesting' (and I mean that in the Chinese sense) birthdays I have ever had.
A boat instead of a bus is my worst nightmare...you have my sympathies.
I envy the holidays and kittens here...I need one of each. Though I suspect dear cat Toby would not approve of either.
Other than that, same old, same old here.

Vagus the afternoon tea sounds amazing
Maybe take more lemonade with your drinks Jack to help with telling a boat from a bus!
Mmmm !
It was Helen. It was at Danesfield House where the Clooneys had their English wedding reception, a real treat and a present from one of our children.

I am so jealous I haven’t had an afternoon tea for 6 years!!
My last one was a Christmas afternoon tea in a 5 star hotel, they give away Christmas baubles as a gift- I still have them.
I've had an awful few weeks, everytime I go into Greggs for pasties they've gone up, now hit £2 each. What am I to do? :0(
