has come off and I don't know how to get it through the tiny hole again. any ideas. thanks

Push it through with a needle?

Tie some thread to it, wrap it round several times and tie it again near the bottom of the cord.

Feed the thread through the hole and pull the cord through.

Roll a bit of sellotape round the tip and squeeze it into a point. It should go through then. Tie a bulky knot to keep it from pulling out again.

Tape the end of the vacuum cleaner on one end and try and suck it through.
