I can’t trust anyone who still believes Boris was a fine upstanding person / good PM .

TTT will be here 30 seconds after it starts to say Truss wiped the floor with Starmer.
I hope Labour don’t go full on attack, and actually listen to her for a couple of weeks.
I will watch and offer my verdict when it finishes.
It started a few mins ago.
Firstly, Truss did very well.
It was a very welcome change for the PM to actually answer the questions - she did. There was no bluster, buffoonery, shouting down the opponents.

The opposition were relatively kind (apart from a few nationalists), and she had a fairly easy ride. Starmer and his MPs did not go for the jugular which was also the right thing to do.

Highlight was Theresa May’s question, and Truss’ answer. Good fun.
Nothing new from old robot Hindsight, but confident, direct and focused answers from the new PM- well done to her, she may not be the most polished media performer, but she is good at the despatch box- was refreshing to see the quick and straight answers, and hope that she continues in this vein.

She didn't answer the question on water companies polluting rivers and beaches
I thought she did well and yes, a nice change from the shouty etonian windbaggery we've become accustomed to of late.
I hpe this continues in a similar vein.
PMQs has been an embarrassment for years, and has been a hard listen. I actually enjoyed the more civilised atmosphere today.
Isn’t it strange how the usually effervescent Fatti hasn’t fizzed his way into this thread in his usual way, like Taz the Tasmanian Devil on acid? Could it be that Ms Truss’s performance took a little wind out of his sails?

…….(Cue him telling me I’m some off-kilter Tory maniac, or some such in his usual clichéd, ignorant, non-sequitur way)
BTW, who did Fatti used to be on here? Seems familiar.
I echo others: I thought the lady did jolly well.

I’m very flattered at how much you miss me, genuinely!
