Family Still Isolating

I have family still social distancing and I'm not allowed in the house. I'm just wondering if anyone out there is still isolating or knows of people isolating. I feel like they are the only ones but I assume that's not the case. They aren't vulnerable - just fear of getting COVID.

NJ No1 no! no!
They may be going on holiday or a wedding or some thrash and to be sure, decide to isolate a week or days before, so as to be reasonably fit. Then for the rest of the year, take no precautions at all, as they would not be a hindrance.
A disease so deadly that you have to test to see if you have got it.
(And somehow recovered without knowing that you had it)
Really?

All those bodies been buried in mass graves in New York?
Where else did that happen?

(Clue, stock footage of paupers graves in America)
Never happened!

Chinese in Hamzet suits, never happened there or anywhere else.

Dont know what this is all about, but its not about any killer disease...
Nailit....a disease doesn't have to be a killer to be debilitating.
I`ve been vaccinated up to my eyeballs over the years - typhoid, paratyphoid, cholera, yellow fever, rabies, meningitis, hep, polio, diptheria. All those jabs stop you getting the disease though..the covid jab doesn't. Still, if it makes the symptoms less severe then that is good and I suppose that is the point of it. I think it won't be long before the covid jab will be like the flu jab
//Nailit....a disease doesn't have to be a killer to be debilitating//

But Covid WAS/IS Advertised as a killer.
Hell, its destroyed the economy.

Drugs are debilitating, the Black Death was a killer.
//Still, if it makes the symptoms less severe then that is good//
But it doesnt.
Just one question...
Where else in the world were these mass graves of covid victims
(that were been shown in New York) happening?

Where else in the world has this happened??
Has there been mass burials near you?

Or have people been ill for a week or two?

(Havnt seen many Hazmet Suits in Stoke, or isolation units or mass buriuals or people dropping in the street)

Not bothering with your first two questions, Nailit.
As for being ill for a week or two. My mother caught Covid. Very ill for many weeks as she suffered a slow, lingering, undignified death.
To answer the OP... people do whatever makes them happy and if that means isolating then that’s their choice. It doesn’t have to be your choice, and you don’t have to agree with it, but I would suggest your do have to respect their decision.
"Where else in the world were these mass graves of covid victims happening" There were lots in India.
Mass graves in -----India,Peru,Indonesia,Amazon,Brazil. Just a handful of the affected countries.
//There were lots in India//
Lots in New York too.
Until proven to be fake news,

Any stats on Europe during the same time period?
Can't recall the UK burying people in mass graves or
Ireland burning people en masse.

Must have been only New York that buried people by the thousands
(Cant think what happened to the rest of the USA,)
and India that burnt people by the thousand.
Nailit, don't you remember April/20 mass graves had to be dug in London because Covid had hit the Muslim community . They had to be buried quickly because of religious reasons ?
There were mass graves in Italy, Milan if i am correct, as for family isolating, you have to respect that not everyone is yet ok to walk out and about freely after 2 years of being told of lockdowns, watching death numbers on tv every evening, it has affected so many vulnerable people, I still mask up when I am out, I still got covid a few weeks ago, for a few weeks and it was not like a cold, I was very unwell and just one call away from being hospitalised. My primary care team had to provide me with a new nebuliser to help get the meds into me fast. I recently rang a friend and he said he had covid and it was just a sneeze and he's grand - it affects people different, the week I had it, 55 people were registered to have died in Irish hospitals with covid related illness, I thought at one point i was gonna be on that list
//They may be going on holiday or a wedding or some thrash and to be sure, decide to isolate a week or days before, so as to be reasonably fit.//

To be sure of what? Did they do this prior to 2020?

//…you have to respect that not everyone is yet ok to walk out and about freely after 2 years of being told of lockdowns, watching death numbers on tv every evening, it has affected so many vulnerable people,//

I agree that the government did a fine job of scaring the population witless. It was their deliberate strategy. But Covid now presents no greater risk than many of the other respiratory diseases that are endemic here. So when will they be ok, ducksie?

//I still mask up when I am out,..//

Why? A mask provides no protection for you (unless it s an FFP2 or FFP3 variety). As you have seen:

//I still got covid a few weeks ago,..//

//55 people were registered to have died in Irish hospitals with covid related illness,//

Did they die of Covid? Or did they have something else and happened to test positive for Covid before they died?
I suppose there will be people isolating for many years, like that Japanese bloke they found still fighting ww2 in the seventies.
//All those bodies been buried in mass graves in New York?
Where else did that happen? //

It happened here too.
