October break

When is the October break? Would like to go to Skye for a week and avoid the school holidays. can anyone help?

not sure about Skye, but here (east of Scotland), the little angels go back to school on October 24th.

Thanks. The Skye term is 6th to 23rd. not sure about the rest but I've booked now.

I'm in the northwest, our half term is 20th - 30th October.

Glasgow and surrounding schools are off from the 16th to the 20th October.

Incidentally, if you are going to Skye, take the boat over to the Isle of Raasay, it is beautiful and there is an outdoor centre if thats your thing.

where abouts are you staying? Been up for the last two years at october half term, beautiful place. if you like seafood/great food try the Claymore inn in Broadford. also take a trip over the bridge to Kyle and theres a great glass bottomed boat trip. Hope you have a fab time. :->

I'm staying in Broadford Youth Hostel for the week. I'm from there, just going back to work on my house and catch up with some old friends.
