I'm really stuck on ideas of what to take for my lunch at college. We have no fridge, so salads etc wouldn't keep very well till lunchtime. I try not to eat bread during the day as it seems to make me more hungry than ever, so my usual lunch is oatcakes/ryvittas.. and some fruit. Can anyone give me some new ideas to make my boring lunch a bit more exciting!! Thank you!!xxx

If you have a freezer at home, ASDA do some mini ice blocks for sandwich boxes (Similar to the ones for cool bags). This should increase your scope of things that you are able to take.

Try oatmeal or granary bread, that tends to be more filling.

Fajitas, Tortillas and Guacamole Dip, Numerous variations of pasta salad. Roast vegetable cous-cous salad. Home made fruit salad. to name but a few.

I have searched hi and lo for Oatmeal bread, where do you get this from..?? Also i don't suppose you know where i can buy wholemeal muffins from??xxx
Somerfields do their own oatmeal farmhouse loaf of bread from their So Good range. 1.06 each. Can't help with wholemeal muffins though.
How about uncle bens 2 minute rice if you have a microwave? The long grain rice is delicious mixed with a small tin of slimming world tikka tuna!
If you can get some mini ice packs you can make up some interesting salads in a plastic container with butter beans, shredded red or white cabbage and chopped spring onions. Blend together with the smallest smear of mayonnaise and salad cream and you will have a satisfying but substantial snack. You can also mix chopped apple and cashew nuts with the beans. Waitrose do the best tinned butter beans. You can also buy tins of mixed beans from various supermarkets, and add chopped celery, red pepper, raw carrot, etc.
