My zippo doesn't light, i've changed the flint, the wick, the fuel, the padding inside, the lighter apears to be fine, i've cleaned it, but it won't light, well, not until about the 15th atempt to light it. it's anoying coz it was given to me by somone very close and i don't want a replacement, does anyone know how i can get it working? thanks

Do you mean it won't spark up ? You say you've checked the flint, so it may be the wheel that's not connecting with the flint. Try turning the flint around but if that doesn't work then you can always send it back to Zippo - they will fix it or replace it for free (or at least they used to do this, I haven't smoked for years). Zippo lighters can be a bit fussy about the flints, they prefer the Swan flints, also make sure it is making good contact on the flint wheel and you are getting a good spark.
You could also try a different fuel. I have had Zippo lighters for years and most problems are down to the flint or the fuel, even when they appear to throw a good spark. Try it, it will work.
you say you changed the wick...Did you replace it with a zippo wick..some other wicks a slightly narrower , fuel leaks and the gas does not build up
