Anybody here remember Bluesville in the early sixties. I think the opening night had John Lee Hooker. I missed that gig, but there were many other great bands (not famous, just great. Alexis Korner and Victor Brox I remember).

Before my time (and not in my area) but it's interesting that The Moody Blues (who went on to have three UK Number 1 hits) played as the support act to Sonny Boy Williamson (who is now largely forgotten by most people):

As Buenchico, before my time, I doubt I'd heard of Wigan & SBW is not forgotten by me :-)
