1995 escort 1.4 injection

My car has developed a fault for the first mile approx when you start it after sitting for a while. It runs as if you have put the choke off on a carburated car.I have changed the plugs, had it put on an analyser which found nothing. Once the engine clears it runs fine.Any ideas anyone?

Not sure about the escort but some cars have a cold start valve, which can sieze up at times........ Have a look through rthe fordforums, heres a link that might start you off.......
i once ownd a an escort estate and encountered a problem that upon starting the car would rev uncontrollably until it had travelled for about 500m, to fix this i had to replace the carb
