I’m not sure it will do Stokes any good to taken on the captaincy, along with his bowling and batting.

But, who else is there? Jos Buttler maybe
An invigorating little video - I loved the miserable look on the face of that Aussie guy at the end of the clip (@ 2:52) - superb.

Thanks.

Stokes is like Botham. A superb player but with no real understanding of the psychology of the game that's needed by a captain.

Will Rhodes would have been my own choice for the job.

Totally agree about Stokes and the captaincy, but it's faute de mieux. Apart from Root, he's the only player guaranteed (if fit) a place in the team.
Josh Bohannon looks a good prospect......please, someone emerge!
There’s too much mystique attached to the captaincy. Richie Benaud-of blessed memory-always felt that an eleven would yield up a captain. Neither Rhodes nor Bohannan would be in the best XI even allowing for present batting weaknesses. Have a look at some of the captains in IPL with little or no previous experience. Elgar and Cummins for SA and Australia have made it work.
