For those of us born in the late 60's
and bought up in the 70's
(And almost a teen in the early 80's)

What is a song that Reminds you of that?

Boomtown Rats, I don't like Mondays reminds me of school and I didn't like Mondays, all my early working life then I still didn't like Mondays cos I partied at the weekends
I'm 10 years older than that, and for me it's Cuz I Luv You by Slade.
>>> "Bought up"???

Who was buying kids in the late 70s?
;-)

I would have been in my early teaching days then. (Ruddy 'eck. If I'd have lived in a different part of the country, I could have been teaching Nailit! That was a lucky escape!). This reminds me of those days:
A few songs throw me back to the 70s

Afternoon Delight
Pop Muzik
Uptown Top Rankin
Anything from Saturday Night Fever.

Happy Days, they were.
the mod revival late seventies with bands like the jam, secret affair, the chords etc.
I had the real mods of the 60's.
I was at college in the early 70s and remember Young, Gifted and Black, I think by Bob and Marcia? I don't know why that particular song sticks out but it was on in all the pubs I frequented.
Mixing up bought and brought is a Stokie thing, as is mixing being and been.
I take it telt is a Corby thing Tilly!
I don't know, LB.
A decade earlier for me too, so schooldays... Norman Greenbaum Spirit in the Sky, and Alice Cooper. School's Out, but my taste was more Neil Diamond, and Leonard Cohen back then.
I am a bit to old for Nail's parameters, but have younger brothers(3) who fit right into the timeslot. Punk rock was a huge thing for the kids(they are alright) back then and I salute the brilliant Clash who came out of nowhere with ... White Riot. They had seen something out there on the streets and "nailed" it. If you were in your teens when this hit and don't remember it you missed your chance.

A little bit younger than parameters Queen aside, ‘Heart of glass’ and ‘Another brick in the wall pt2’ not knowing at the time what a big Pink Floyd/Waters fan I’d become.
Shame by Evelyn Champagne King reminds me of the Marisco in Woolacombe. That's where we went to show off our tans after a hard day on the beach. Mr Blue Sky reminds me of going back to school after a blizzard that kept us home for a week. Happy days.
