I went for a hygienist appointment this morning and my teeth feel nice and clean now.

Luckily I've never had a fear of the dentist. How do you feel about going to the dentist?

I am so bad I always have to remember to take Imodium every time I go.
I'd rather go to the dentists than the hairdressers. I hate having my hair done.
lucky you Tilly -
Having smashed my two front teeth when I was 13 years old, dental visits hold no terrors for me.
The last time I had to pay for dental work it shocked me.

Four back teeth removed - cost me £500. Frankie wasn't too please about the procedure either. I was told that he would be off his food for a couple of days. As soon as we got home he stuffed his face into a bowl of dried cat food and scooped the lots up, crunching happily.
After childhood, I have been OK with dentists until recently. I have developed Sudden Onset Adult Asthma and at the same time my throat (already sensitive after years of teaching) has become highly irritable to almost anything (including saliva) touching it in the wrong place. Lately a form of instant reaction has developed in which my whole throat clamps shut if anything it objects to - a bit of dust etc. hits it. Best they can come up with is an allergic reaction - but I can't breathe.
So, now I am very worried about the dentist. I broke a tooth many years ago, but it finally had to be extracted last year. Not nice - but trying to get an impression to make a replacement was far worse and I am now terrified t.b.h..
