I was once in a pub in Kingussie where they had over 100 different malts and the barman would only serve it as he believed it should be served, he'd allow an ice cube in some or a dash of water but anything else....."yee can have Bells!"
Not a fan of single malts as such but I did used to like a Whisky Mac or 2 in my younger days.
Let's hope it's not been 'corked ' or 'kegged '
A recommendation for you who are in Devon or are visiting, the Nobody Inn at Doddiscombeleigh - less than 7 miles from Exeter and their racecourse.

Over 250 scotches for the biggest collection in England and comfortable bedrooms to crash in at a reasonable price when you are sloshed - really good non-Michelin food and a breakfast to add to the equation, a lovely quiet village, no village store though....a good wine list too but not the 18inches thick that it was 10 years ago when it was also the UK's wine pub....

And no, I don't get a commission - Gness has been there for lunch with me and it survived....somehow.
Kevin at the Burton Bridge Brewery used to keep an excellent selection of whiskeys as did the Stout Yeoman who ran The Thumper in Westbourne.

And anyone that adds anything to a single malt needs shooting.
webbo had the answer to that, youngmafbog....I agree though, except more scotch of the same brand....
For that money I'd want a new bottle, not some eighty year old stuff they've suddenly found in a corner of the cellar! :-)

how do you pronounce that DTC? willing to bet not as written......
