booked holiday on line yesterday. they said would phone within 24hours to confim booking. just phone to say the price has gone up 50 pounds can they do that .they are ringing back when the wife gets home . god help em

I imagine they can do it as long as they have not accepted your deposit prior to the raise in price. not 100% sure though.
Yes they can.

You have the right to decline to confirm the booking and if you've paid anything to get it back.
