A lottery ticket was bought with a stolen Debit Card, and won £4million.
The men who stole the card were found out and were jailed.

What happened to the prize money? Someone paid for the winning ticket, yet the report doesn’t say they got the prize money.

If Camelot kept it, isn’t that scanalous?

in past cases I think they've given it to charity.
I guess they would declare that ticket to be null and void.
I was telling someone about it earlier and the way I read it, they had only the card details written on an arm and no card.

How did they buy messages and the scratchcards without a physical bank card?

They know whose account the ticket was purchase by. Surely they own the winning ticket ?
Wouldn't the account holder just get there £1 or whatever back
If I stole £10,000 in cash from your house and used it to buy a car, who is the legal owner?

// A third man has reportedly stepped forward to claim a £4million lottery prize, arguing that he deserves the money because his card was used to buy the winning ticket. //

From June. Feels dodgy.

No, he didn't buy it. The robbers did, but using the details from someone else's debit card. The card details were written down on his arm. It looks like the details were stolen, rather than the actual card.
The next story, says they did have the stolen card. What a mess.

How do you buy items without the card ?
Was the shop keeper in on a scam ?

Posts crossed TheWinner.
Like a film script, innit. What a cheek, shopping in Waitrose because it wasn't their money.
if it's a debit card, you can buy (say online) using the numbers off the card without having to be there. I don't know how it would work in a shop without the card to swipe. someone else will have to answer that one.
