It's -9 here this morning, so I[m warming myself up by watching this group of people preparing for a scuba diving trip on the nearby reefs, which I have done myself years ago. Scroll down to "Las Rocas Resort" to see what a really laid back, rustic, and uncrowded piece of Caribbean paradise it is.
Cheaper for you sanmac. It’s just a hop from where you are. We have friends in your area of the world who we meet regularly in the Caribbean - at least we used to before Covid.
Google "earthcam", click on "live network of webcams...", and you will see a list of webcams. There used to be a camera overlooking the beach and part of the town at Bognor Regis. I think there is still one at the Abbey Road crossing, but the last I checked it wasn't that interesting.
If you are bored or have the time it's worth watching the Roatan cam from about 1120 UK time (they are 6 hours behind) when it's dark through to dawn at about 1140 ish, the colours are lovely. Like all the Caribbean the change from night to day is really fast.
You're right about how quickly it gets dark in the Caribbean. I still remember my first trip down there how astonished I was at the quick transition from daylight to darkness.
