I am working at computer 7 hrs a day, now my arms are so painful which need to take sick leave and seeing physio. have a occ health assessment that a lower desk (I am tiny) may be helpful with change a mouse as well. but the company i worked for said all the desks build are link up in a row and can only adjust upwards. they said they can't provide a desk can be adjust downwards for me. I know it would be cost them trouble to do so but seems not 100% impossible? Wondering are they upholding Health & safety?

I wonder if your employer would supply you with one of these? Or, if the company has a Maintenance Department, they could rig-up something similar.

My employer has mentioned about the cost of new equipment to me. But I don't what to say to them so I just not saying anything. To be honest I want say I can pay the cost of new equipment myself. Of course it's rude so I just keep it to myself

If your chair is so low it is uncomfortable for you to use are you getting a stiff neck from having to look up at the screen?
Would a good quality booster cushion and higher foot rest do the job?
Question Author
i know chair too low is no good, and screen can be adjusted to level to my eyes which i dont need to look up. Cushion has been tried just not really works.
Have you allways had this problem on other jobs, Chingwan??
Are there other duties you can do if theres no solution that your union or employer can find
The fact the desks are attached should not be a hurdle since I doubt they arrived in that state.

Do some research if you have to but it's down to them to pay for reasonable adjustments.
