Yorkshire puddings in the microwave?

Help! Elderly British expat lady seeks guidance in making Yorkshire puddings using only microwave oven. Can it be done? would appreciate advice/suggestions. Hoping to recreate a taste of home with your help....

I wouldn't think so, but I know when our oven packed up you can grill them, and they still rise [Aunt Bessie's] try this lot http://www.microwaveassociation.org.uk/recipes/ they may help. Good luck

sorry to disappoint you but you've no chance i'm afraid, they are strictly a baking commodity whereas microwaving is the boiling of water molecules. Best you can do is buy pre-cooked frozen ones (can you get hold of them?) and nuke them for 15-30 secs - they will go a bit floppy i'm afraid, but at least they will be warm. I could ship some cooked ones out to you? (Home-made for a small charge :-)

Don't know if it'd work in a combi microwave, guess it's worth a try [before you actually neeed them?]
