If so do they keep it or hand it over towards the heating costs of the care home?

I have POA for a family friend that's been in a care home for a few years now.
I've just checked her bank statements and last year she received £100 (she does not receive any kind of benefits).
However, according to the link provided by Danny, that will increase to £150 this year as she turned 80 this year.
She gets to keep it all by the way :)
