Some years ago I had the notion that I fancied playing a guitar. I had a pal who could play and was into Ralph McTell.
I bought a guitar and a Ralph McTell record "Spiral Staircase"

I got obsessed with Streets of London and recorded the into hundreds of times to see what or listen to what he was doing. I got into the habit of using my thumb an d 3 fingers, like Paul Simon.

I don't strum cos that is like playing a piano and banging your forearms on the keyboard.

I just do it for fun, keeps arthritis at bay.

If I break a nail it is most frustrating. It took a while to get used to a thumb pick. I tried picks on my fingers, did not work.

We all need a hobby,lol.

If you had gone on a Saturday night to the Springfield Laundry Social Club Peterborough your would have heard a trio, the Collegiates and who was the lead singer......your friend and mine......SQAD.

I couldn't stand all the female adulation and knickers thrown on the stage, so I gave it up..LOL

We got half a crown 2s 6p for a 2 hour gigg.
