Photo Id On Domestic Uk Flights?!?

Can I fly a domestic flight from Portsmouth to Liverpool with a bus pass as the only form of photo ID?

As part of trying to solve this weird question I've been looking at our domestic carriers and they all advise carrying photo ID. Furthermore although they give examples of what that can be (passport, driving licence, mil ID card etc) bus passes were never included.

Curious and curiouser because if its Thelands son isn't he in the Navy and therefore could use his Naval ID
