China is opening coal fired power stations at the rate of about one a week. The fuel needed for the plants it has in the planning stage exceeds the entire coal consumption of the USA....

First of all, I have not had seventy-odd years to achieve anything, since I am actually sixty-six.
But that aside, what Ms Thunerg has 'achieved' is a degree of attention for her beliefs, or rather the beliefs of her parents for which she is a mouthpiece.
Attention is free, which is why she has got so much of it - but in terms of actual change and impact - her efforts amount to a massive zero since she is utterly ignored by China, the biggest creator of climate polution by a very considerable margin.

I have sympathy for Lee Hurst's comment that caused such a shyyte stir...she comes across as being sanctimonious and spraying it around, just for effect - she needs to learn to channel and focus her targets.
