says that he was mentally unwell when he sent that now infamous tweet about Arlene Foster, and has now set up a Go Fund Me Page, to see if can pay for the costs that she has been awarded 125k. Does anyone else find this wrong, why should anyone pay for his mistakes.

It is very difficult to avoid GoFundMe pleas - I read an online news report and it mentions somewhere that somebody has set up a GoFundMe to help the feckless, irresponsible person who thought it would be a great idea to leap off a hotel balcony into a pool in Spain without having insurance and is now stuck in a Spanish hospital.

i remember that one, foolish beyond belief.
There has been more than one, emmie - and as far as I can recall they were all British.

doesn't surprise me, they can go a bit loopy when on their holidays.
I was wrong, Emmie - of course we only really hear about the Brits but Spaniards, Australians, Swiss, Irish have died balconing in Spain. No doubt many more nationalities, too. The Brits top the league table though.
Yes Emmie. He is morally wrong to appeal for help for his own actions. But i cannot help feeling sorry for him, he has had mental problems and has done a lot of good on his TV programme. Now one indiscretion may ruin his life. He did wrong and deserved a fine, but the amount set is too high.
Question Author
william i just don't agree, he had time and warnings enough to withdraw the tx/tweet, he didn't and quite frankly i have no sympathy.
No sympathy from me, either. He is a very intelligent man, has friends and family and the ability to get every help he needs.

He is not an isolated loner of low intelligence and poor mental health that knows no better, spending his days and nights trolling people he has taken against.
He's raised just short of £9000 now so it's chickenfeed compared to what he owes.
Yes Emmie. You are right . The whole thing was caused by him.
