This is a bit private, but last night in bed, I was getting shooting pains, straight up inside me (private part). I know they are normal in women, but although they arent making me double over or stopping my everyday life, they are a bit more pronounced than the ones I normally get.

I have considered a kidney infection, but I drink quite a lot of water, and all else if fine. Urine clear and not smelly etc. etc.

We are trying for a baby, and my periods due end of next week, Could it be, and I know I'm hoping against hope, the implantation of the egg, and my womb expanding or something similar, or am I deluding myself and its most likely to be a kidney infection? Thanks in advance

I had them recently and they were more painful than usual but Im not pregnant.
I know women get these pains when ovulating and the feeling can be strong.
Obviously youd like to hear that is implantation that you are feeling and i wish i could say it was but really it could be so many things. sending you 'positive' vibes for next week though x
i dont think i would say that shooting pains up inside you are "normal" at all!
kazza, mine are more like a twinge and all my friends get them at times.

Ive just typed in my details to an ovulation calculator, and I'm actually ovulating this week, which explains the pains, but is actually upsetting to me, because I believed I was ovulating last week, and my hubby and I were abit, lazy about things this week.
so it may be ovulation pains? Sorry Topcat. But if ovulating last night you can still try this month.

Gosh, Im getting very obsessive about this all thing, (I'm still getting the pains, although very mild) and I even considered, leaving work, getting my hubby to leave work and go home. I know, I know, IM MAD, but I want it soooo much. We were really lucky with our little girl, I got pregnant straight away, but this time, its taking a while.
Im on a mums messageboard and we all have 14 month old babies. So many are pregnant again and some have been obsessing. 2 got pregnant once they stopped worrying and 1 had been told by fertility clinic to lose weight before theyd take her on (it had taken years of fertility treatment before). She has just found out after struggling to lose weight that the reason is shes 5 months pregnant.
Just try and relax and things happen, if you get worked up and fanatical about trying to conceive your body cruelly will work against you.
best of luck though

Your so right, and its what I advised to my friends when they were trying, but it really is easier said than done. But I will take a deep breath and stop panicking (I hope), what will be will be.

Thanks for your advise and answers.
