Not me.
Nor me. I can proudly say I have never watched a single episode, but still know the cafe is called Central Perk!(or so I'm told!)
I won't be upset because the show has run its course, so it's time to finish. I am proud to say that I have watched every single episode, although it's a very uncool thing to admit. I believe there had been no other sit-com produced in the last 10 years that is in the same league (unless you can call The Office a sit-com). I am sure I will shed a tear, if that makes me a sad person, then so be it!
I agree with kags seemingly 99% of sit-coms run and run. Now I don't know whether it's the fact that they become tiresome following the same routine, or whether it's that its viewers mature, or a combination of both... but what I do know is that stopping a sit-com at the right time is much more intelligent and highly commendable in my book, and makes it even better. I know The Office may not be a sit-com, but it is a prime example. It's about the best programme I've ever watched on television and, although I was distraught, I had to admit that stopping it after a second series (and Christmas Specials) was just about the best thing that ever happened. Imagine if it had gone on to a third season and somehow not been as good? It would have unnecessarily marred the whole thing. Not unlike Only Fools and Horses - obviously it still has its fans, but the old ones are still classics, whereas the newer ones started to become tiresome and unfulfilling.
I will! I've seen and loved every episode, and personally it was something that gave me a lot of happiness over the years (as sad and slushy as that may sound). I will miss the characters and the dynamics between them that were played off to perfection by the actors. *sniff
It's not hard to log onto the net and post comments about a show. What is hard however, is keeping a show fresh and original, which the writers and crew of 'Friends' have done for 10 years. It really is simple, if you don't like the show, don't watch it! In 20 years time you'll look back on 'Friends' like we look back on 'Cheers'. Respect that.
Damm right JoeW2005, I was very impressed how the writers ended the show, very moving, but not over slushy. If only Chanel 4 had of gotten their hands on Sienfield instead of BBC 2
Friends ???????? :-)
I definitely will!! I feel like I've grown up with them and they feel like real friends...it was good right up to the end, and just like kags, I have watched every episode.
ahhh...ive grown up with them too, and am proud to say that i OWN every episode! I cried my little eyes out...and i'm so pleased no-one knows who am! :)
