How Can I Find Out If There Is A Petition?

Once again, the mural of George Floyd in Manchester has been vandalised.
I would like to know if there might be a petition asking for this mural to be taken down permanently as I feel it does nothing at all to enhance the city.
In fact, if I thought I wouldn't get caught, I'd go and remove it myself.

This "story" is on my Yahoo page today.

The French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo has sparked yet another controversy, this time by running a front-page cartoon of an evil-looking Queen Elizabeth kneeling on the neck of a battered Meghan Markle.

“Why Meghan Quit Buckingham,” reads the headline of the issue out Saturday. The figure meant to depict Meghan responds, “Because I couldn’t breathe anymore!”

The scene is pointedly evocative of the death of George Floyd, a Black man who was killed last summer by a Minneapolis police officer who kneeled on his neck.

Is it a Criminal Offence to clean graffittii off a wall? I doubt it......Trouble is Barsel you may end up in trouble with the 'BLM' brigade rather than the Council or Police, and to put it bluntly, you are in danger of getting beaten up.

The three who damaged it this time round were lucky then , they got arrested and not beaten up.

To damage something is a criminal offence. I would have thought to clean something off completely, so it returns to its original state, is not.

Perhaps the folks who graffitied over the mural should face the same 10 years maximum sentence that many on here were so pleased to hear the statue topplers were potentially facing?

Its apparently not graffiti its a mural sanctioned by the Council. So, Barsel, best put your domestos slowly down and walk away.....:-)

Here's an idea. Remove the mural of George Floyd, and hire the artist to replace it with one of Breonna Taylor. That way the "he was a career criminal" types can stop their crying, and we can instead use a complete innocent, shot to death by police in her own home as a symbol of unlawful killings of black people by police.
