Then saw this creature staring back at me in the rear garden, it’s well documented by me how scared I am of birds, I’m so pleased there was glass between me and it but doubly pleased Lola wasn’t out playing in the garden too

We have loads of them Bobbi. You would love it here. Pheasants andPartridge's everywhere. Partridge's nest in our garden. Pheasants reared behind the woods behind us. I don't think you would like a holiday here!!!!
Pheasants are daft birds.
according to mamy link, the rhea can be aggressive, hard to catch, which i don't doubt, plus those owning one don't need a licence - so no way of tracking them to their owners...
Question Author
Pheasant are really daft, they cross slowly in front of cars coming down the lane beside us.
APC, I’d be a barrow job holidaying there , lol
I have a phobia -ironing. Run away from it. I haven't ironed for years. Not since OH retired and rarely wears formal shirts.
Question Author
I’ll swap phobias then , haha, I love it
You iron your clothes ?!!
Ironing never. My son talked me out of ironing. I realised he was right about it being a total waste of time. The don't even possess an iron or an ironing board!!
Bobbie I am really sorry to read you have a bird phobia. I get such delight from watching the birds and love to hear a blackbird chattering away to itself in my garden as dusk falls. Would you consider having therapy to cure it? As birds seem to bother you a lot I think it would be a good thing to get enjoyment from something that once frightened and distressed you.
i couldn't do therapy for my spider allergy, i would throw a fit if someone showed me a large spider like a tarantula.

I should really see someone as walking through a park where pigeons are frighten the life out of me , I recall being on an open top tourist bus in Trafalgar Square thinking I’d be safe , not so, they were in all the trees we past en route, :0(
Total wildlife nut here, except for some spiders, I really don't like those big house spiders, but they are ok in the garden. The pheasant wouldn't hurt your little dog, she is more likely to harm it. Pheasants are the Towie types of the bird world, over coloured, and thick as two short planks, and Very over rated.
I'm like that with worms and sadly for me I can't avoid them in wet weather. I can't even look at worms and recoil with terror if I see them when walking :o((
Where I live they roam freely across the front of my cottage, mainly the green collars but we have a couple of Japanese which are almost completely black . Pheasants are pretty much scared of every noise and movement and so you needn’t worry, they aren’t likely to hunt you down

Dot, it’s birds of any kind that I’m afraid of
