I agree, its the tops. I love the stuff. Last christmas I was given 5 boxes of the stuff, some lemon but mostly rose.
One selection was covered in organic bitter dark chocolate and was amazing.
Whats in it???:Ingredients:

granulated sugar
water
juice of one lemon
powdered gelatine
cornflour
icing sugar, sifted
pink food colouring
few drops of rose water

Sure there must be variations though
Has anyone ever made any and how well does it compare to the shop stuff?

i didnt realise they did flavours other than rose!
I have made it and it was very delicate.. It was a Gary Rhodes recipe, not worth the bother.. when bought is so good!
By the way, if you have a liking for Turkish Delight are you more likely to like marmite and other very individual tasting foodstuffs
Like:
anchovies
olives
pickled walnuts and so on
Not that I live on condiments alone......

Wheres that jar of pickled eggs
I don't like any of those flumpet.
I love Turkish Delight as well as Earl Grey tea, Southern Comfort and Parma Violets.
I see more of a connection with those foods.
I love the cadburys turkish delight and apparantly not high in calories.
yum i love turkish delight too. prefer the more natural rose/lemond flavour stuff in icing sugar rather than chocolate covered bars. i dont like any of the afore mentioned foods though flumpet!
turkish delight (without the chocolate coating) is completely fat free...obviously it still has calories, but no fat!
how good is that?

i love turkish delight...but you're right that its a love or hate it thing. i still despise Marmite though...and why would anyone pickle a walnut?
