Have you used any symbols in the password? Perhaps keyboard settings have chnaged, thus some symbols may not be on the expected key.

Shut down your laptop.
Remove the power lead (if it's plugged in).
Remove the battery.
Wait a minute.
Replace the battery (and power lead, if you're using it).
Reboot your laptop and try logging in again.
(Sometimes that's all that's needed).

Instead of removing the battery, and then replacing it, hold the power button down for at least 15 seconds.

borrow or buy a cheap keyboard plug it in it should by pass your laptops built in try that to reset the thing
