Asda. You need to call and book a slot to choose your specs but it’s not a long wait, less than a week.

That’s a shame.
Last specs I bought were from a Specsavers which is inside our nearest Sainsburys. They were nearly as competitively priced as Asda and as Asda had stopped selling the red framed pair I broke, I saw some on Specsavers so decided to give them a go. I’d use them again.
This was prior to COVID though.

I've found Vision Express to be better than other big names - Boots/Specsavers. I think a periodic eye test is important and my prescription is quite complex so the 6 quid on-line offers aren't really an option.

Best in person Costco, then local/independents, Asda, Specsavers.

goodness - the Specsavers I go to is full up tomorrow but has eight slots for eye tests on Saturday. That's in London, but I'm startled that other people are waiting so long.

I don't suppose your work gives you a discount voucher if you use screens a lot? Mine does with Vision Express.
