Have used by local opticians prescription and used it to buy on-line. Perfectly satisfactory ( and much cheaper).

I have enquired and afraid minus 20 is out the reach of the online companies and I also need to apply the NHS Voucher (as sight is so poor).

Blimey Mamya, wouldn't it be easier to get a glass cutter and just take the bottom off two old style milk bottles?!

Gosh Chill, I haven't heard that joke for 25 years at least - they would indeed be 'Bottle Bottoms' if it were not for the super technological advances that have happened in the past decade or two.

Gosh Gness, i didn't realise yours were so strong too - you gotta white stick as well ? No one takes any notice of it , do they?

Still partial sightedness can and does have its funny moments lol.

My prescription is too strong as well, but I go to specsavers and choose from their cheap range, it doesn't please them, but who cares.

Mamya....no white stick but can't make out a thing without my specs. I knew I had problems when I was asking the cardboard cutout of the assistant in Boots for advice and she wasn't responding...☺

Understood, I cannot get out of bed without mine - the Hospital put me on the Partially Sighted Register - will wait to hear how you got on with such high strength lenses online - good luck.
