Temptress - Luther Vandross - Dance with my father is the title of that song - a nice touching song.
For me, I'm not sure, I'd want people to celebrate my life, but I'm not sure of which songs I'd like.... something appropriate to how I lived my life. I like 'Time to say Good bye' - Sarah Brightman though.
My auntie died suddenly last year, and at her funeral her daughter played her favourite song by Celine Dion (not sure which song though)... it was really touching. However my cousin handed the Vicar the CD with the tracks on, and the 1st song that greeted everyone was 'Staying Alive' it was quite an awkward moment at the time, but one which my auntie would have laughed at.......
my friend's husband died suddenly a few years ago and she had 'my heart will go on' celine dion playing when the coffin was carried out - you should have heard the sobbing from the chapel! but we all went to the pub and got very drunk after!
My mum reckons she'll have to book the church for a week for my funeral coz ive got so many songs!!
definate choices are:
If tommorow never comes - for my daughter,
Annies song - for my son,
Honey (by bobby goldsboro) -for my partner.
I know its cheesy but they have huge meaning to me.
I really have got loads of songs i'd like though.
