when do you stop winding a baby?

Sorry NBriggs, do you mean at what age do you stop? Or how long to wind them for after a bottle?
You can normally tell if they still need winding. With mine it was until she could sit up on her own.
Wingnut, lol thanks, now my answer looks just silly. But yeah mine was age thingy...
Usually when it's puked up over your best clothes, settee, the dog etc etc.
I never winded my babies just sit them upright and nature will sort it out.
My brother and I were never winded when we were babies. Neither of us can burp now, even if we want to! I just get really bloated if I've got wind, and have to take Rennies to get rid of it.
My grandson is 5 months old & he does it on his own know. You should be able to tell if the baby needs it as there`ll be a tinge of blue around the mouth.
Forgot to say it`s just above top lip.
