I am a regular viewer of Emerdale(no its really kool), and noticed the hot warm summers day every time i watch it. I was wondering how many weeks previously are they filmed?

Was gonna give the same answer as unrulie, but won't now, cos she has already answered...lol
well the hot warm summers days were in July and now we are in the beginning of September so -----don't quote me----but i think -----and this is just a guess---- but maybe 4-6 weeks ago??
EastEnders is c. 6 weeks for the inside scenes and c.8 weeks for the outside bits. They film the outside first so that they can make sure that the inside scenes later match the weather etc. There is a flexibility of c.1 or 2 weeks because they film about 2 weeks' worth of episodes all together (not in correct order). "The Bill" is about 3 and a half months, but I guess Coronation Street and Emmerdale would be c.6 weeks as well.
