I need to know the how to solve this problem. Giving me the equation would be great! Here it is: The quotient of a number and 3 minus 4 is twice the number. Write the equation to represent this relationship and solve. I think that I know how, but I just want to make sure! Thanks!

My understanding of the problem as stated is:

Let N = the number

(N/3) - 4 = 2*N

(and if my algebra is still up to it, the answer comes to -2.4
