My band covers things by ac/dc, thin lizzy, ufo, guns n roses etc.

we need some intro music to be playing whilst we are entering the stage, no more than a minute but needs to be kinda effective. any suggestions would be great!

cheers in advance

How about ' The boys are back in town' ? Or is that too obvious?
The beginning of Kashmir by Led Zeppelin is pretty dramatic.

BTW Do you do 'Lights out in London' - it's one of my faves! In fact I think I'd like your set.... where are you lol!
Another track could be the theme from the exorsist???Tubular bells with a twist?

thanks for the suggestions but im think more along the lines of an atmospheric instrumental type of thing - excorsist is a good suggestion. i also like alton towers theme but its too long. things along those lines would be great if i can find one short enough... it is to be played on a cd while we get on stage and pick instruments up etc.

if youve heard any of the live iron maiden albums - id love to know the names of their intro music!!!!! that is exactly what im thinkin

cheers
what about something from emerson lake and palmer? they have to be the masters at instrumental anthem type music.
Wagners' Ride of the Valkyries always seemed like good intro music to me
There's a Black Sabbath track that's awesome for an atmospheric intro but, not being a proper fan, I can't remember what it's called- it's either 'Thrill of it All' or 'Supertzar'.

Another moody intro is in Danzig's 'Left Hand Black'.

The only Maiden intro I can remember is the famous Churchill war speech.

Rock owwwn!
Re the suggestion about ELP, what about Fanfare for the Common Man or Peter Gunn.
i got a idea the first minute or so of Megadeath - Duke NUkem is preety cool and quite rock and roll give it a try
