Peoni Seeds

My Peoni has left a few seeds, has anyone tried to germinate any, if so, have you got any tips ?

The usual method of propagation is by Division, divide the clumps in autumn or early spring in a well prepared site with plenty of organic matter to enrich the soil. they are slow to get re-established and it may be 2-3 years before you see any flowers.
Root cuttings taken in winter can take 3 years to get established.
Seed is possible if used as soonas ripe, but is suitable for species only, otherwise they may not come true to the variety. If germination does not occure within the first spring leave undisturbed, it can take 2-3 years for germination and 3-4 years before it flowers.
