i was wondering, because my room mate doesnt like me leaving my pc on all night (whines about the bills) and i like to watch movies on my pc in bed, is there any programs that i can set it to shut down after a certain time, cos most of the time i fall asleep watching them and thats how the arguments come around. so i just wanted to know if theres a program that does it, or anything else that might do the trick. thanks :)

cool shutdown monster seems the best, although it was a (censor) to get hold of. and there was cool timer too which is good for those mid game naps :P thanks :)
If you happen to be using Microsoft Windows (andI know some people do) then you can enable 'hibernation support' in 'power management' and set it to hibernate after, say, an hour of inactivity. When you wake up again and then wake up your computer, you will be back exactly as you were. You might need to tweek a few BIOS settings as well.
