How many of you suffer from spite?...I don't mean human spite, that's unavoidable, but the kind of spite that has the classic piece of toast landing butter side down or if you're re-organising your display of CDs and you just happen to slightly touch one with the slightest of touches, the whole lot comes tumbling down - and on and on - I would put that down to S.P.I.T.E or Spirits Playing In The Ether - ether that or someone or thing having agood laugh from somewhere "out there"...to wage against the battle with the spite I have to put up with, I shall have to channel my energies, given permission from "out there"...can't have it coming back a hundredfold - or worse!

I'm with you 100%! The Universe (S.P.I.T.E.? - I like that) enjoys playing games at my expense - try & tell someone & they laugh it off with "Oh, you're just accident-prone". No, I'm not, it's the Universe having a laugh. Well, whoop-de-doo.

I saw something about it on t'interweb once, so it must be true - smile
I was just going to say, you're just making an excuse for your clumsiness,
Maybe, i'd better not now.
"I never had a piece of toast
particularly long and wide,
but fell upon the sanded floor...
and always on the buttered side"

James Payn (Novelist)

I'm with Mr King on this one. My whole life has been riddled with such events.
One particular time, I was about to fit a rather expensive light fitting for someone. As I was reading the end of the box, The Universe had decided to open the other end for me.
It really is in slow motion when the fitting escapes through the opening and smashes into a hundred pieces............ :o(
You sound like Mr O'Reilly, Builder.
