Is there a name for what people's voices are called why people sound different like one man's voice is deeper and another man's voice sounds different to another man, why do people sound different and what are there voices called and what are the names for people's voice and vocal cords

The larynx is the voice box containing the vocal cords.

Sound is produced by the vocal chords vibrating (flapping, really). The longer the vocal chord the lower the sound produced, just like an instrument string. By tensing the chords the voice can be made to make a higher or lower note.
