Bobbisox, the infected person is a resident in Lanzarote - returning there after testing positive and ignoring medical advice, instructions. I can't do links, but a friend (in Lanzarote) alerted me to an article online.

Yuck wouldn't go to Greece if you paid me. Out of season they poison the poor stray cats and dogs. Vile.
No way will I fly anywhere for a long while, or holiday anywhere. And cruises must be suffering, especially the cruise ships that resemble city tower blocks. Not that I would ever go on one in normal circumstances. My idea of torture!

Yeah, end of September. I'm supposed to be going to Zurich at the beginning of September but the Andrea Bocelli concert has been put back to next year. I don't know whether I could claim through the insurance for the flights and hotel?
we were due to fly to Skiathos on the 16 June, all cancelled, although were sad, its for the greater good, and hopefully the Greek people on Skiathos will be happy to see us next year! fingers & toes crossed!

I must admit to loving Greece. Had some fabulous holidays out there when airports weren't a total nightmare and life was more laid back. We both worked for airlines. Holidays were virtually free for staff - not any more!
