Pasta

Did you know birds love pasta. Especially spaghetti. I had some left over tonight. I always rinse the sauce off first before putting it on the bird table.
The magpies are so greedy, they think it's worms and spend a while sucking it up before flying off with a big beakful.
The sparrows came along after to get the little bits that were left.

Thank you Mamya, that was very interesting. I do put out a real assortment for my birds. I have a problem with gulls who would clear the lot if they were let. I do a lot of arm waving and shouting at them until they get the message!

Cassa if you look at Mamyas link you will see it's ok for birds. I've been giving it to them for a long time now and they love it.

our magpies love pasta too, especially the quills. we're out in the country here,no gulls unless it's slurry time. magpies rule the roost!

I chop it down a bit before putting it out, yes, the birds do love it!

Strange, the birds in my garden are not too keen on pasta. I’ve had to collect it off a neglected bird table more than once....yuk...so now I just bin any remaining pasta.

I give the birds all sorts. Pizza crust, left over meats etc.. (they LOVE tuna)

Not thought about pasta before. Would be nice and filling for the winter months? Wholegrain would be best
