With my hay fever. It seems worst this year. My eyes are like footballs, all puffed up and my nose like a drip.
So some tips would be welcome. How do you manage yours?????

beconase nasal spray helps to keep mine at bay

Sterimar hayfever spray twice a day and antihistamine tablets. Not perfect but best for me.

You should get some relief today with the change of weather - it's freezing and blowing a gale here :)

Off to supermarket shortly will browse the pharmacy for sprays.
Brainiac, it's a lovely day here, a little blogs.
I've had it bad in the past. The best "medicine" by far was a tbsp of local honey every day.
I find Boots One a Day allergy tablets very good and don't make you sleepy.
I get dry hayfever and find that the tablets just make my eyes and nose drier and sore. I use hayfever eyedrops and beconase if symptoms are bad and sterimar and optrex actimist for itchy eyes to soothe.
Take the antihistamine just before you go to bed. If you have to have bedroom windows open, open on the opposite side of the room if that's possible. Ideally use an electric fan. I also find vinegar & water .. 1 tablespoon measure of vinegar to 4 tablespoons of water on cotton wool squeezed out & dabbed on closed eyes a relief.

Thanks for replies. I have bought some beconase. Went to local Asda and they did not have much on the shelf. So tomorrow will be getting anti histamines and eye drops. My hay fever has not been this bad for years, an omen eh?!?
mine was a nightmare but has eased these last few days after rain..

There is no scientific evidence to back this whatsoever.

I've used Beconase with great success, though strangely this year I don't seem to be overly affected.
I use the older type, chlorphenamine maleate (Piriton). They do make you drowsy and make your mouth feel very dry but I take one before bed and so don't notice too much.

None of the non-drowsy ones work for me.
I was referring to the best "medicine" in my own personal experience.

I had near instant relief.
Believe local honey taken on a daily basis is good for hay fever -the rationale is that local bees use local pollen and daily exposure to the honey helps with lessening the allergic reaction to local pollens.
