infantas
Infanta is the feminine form (i.e. daughters/princesses)

Infante is the masculine form, or collectively infantas as said above.
Hi mama64, I seem to recall a story of how the name of the London Borough of 'Elephant and Castle' came about. Something to do with the 'Infanta de Castilia' who lodged thereabouts while waiting to marry one of the royals.
Being typical Brits, the locals could not pronounce her Spanish title and adapted it to Elephant & Castle.
Not sure how true it is but it's a nice story and does have a vague relevance to your thread !!
