I've recently fitted alloy wheels to my Polo and it seems to be pulling to the right - can't remember if it did that before (have only recently bought it). Will i have to take it to a garage and get it Laser Treated to adjust the tracking, or are there things i can do to try to solve the problem at home?

Some alloy wheels have to be fitted as directed by the 'ARROWS' showing direction. Ensure these are correct if purchased second hand. Also, again if second hand, the other vehicle could have had a tracking fault and worn the tyre out of true. Try putting front tyres on rear, (if possible) and see if there is a difference.

The Alloy wheels and attendant tyres are all brand spanking new and all balanced and something by the supplier - a specialist independent VW centre. I just wondered if there was any way i could have mis-fitted them - given that i'm not the greatest mechanic in the world... :-)
if you have fitted wider wheels and lower profile tyres than standard fitting to a polo you may find your car is now camber sensitive. going to the trouble of buying new rims and tyres it might prudent to have your car 4wheel aligned.ask for advice from where you puchased them.
hope this is of help

kind regards
