I buy and sell cars as a part time hobby and I would really like to know how do you tax a car that you wish to sell on? I don't want to register it in my name and I have motor trade insurance and a valid log book and MOT!! But neither the tax office nor the DVLA will let me tax this car! Cars sell quicker with tax and it would really be in my advantage if I could get it taxed!! CAN ANYONE HELP!! AND PLEASE!!! PLEASE!!! DONT SAY GO AND GET IT IN YOUR NAME!!! That just devalues it more!!!

All i used to do is say ill knock the difference off for the tax. im sure people wont mind.
assuming you have the complete registration document, which legally you shouldnt have, you can fill out the green section in your name and providing you have insurance in that name you can tax the car just on that green slip.it actually tells you that on it. the car will not be put in your name until the main section of the document is sent off to d.v.l.a. which of course it wont be will it.
