I have never cooked lamb myself, but eaten it often in restaurants, recently i had a beautifully, tender roasted lamb shank and it was so succulent and just fell off the bone, could someone tell me how to cook this at home - is it slow roasted or braised ? I have no idea..but i just have to cook this asap...

My hubby cooks the best lamb ever - he puts it in a roasting dish and adds about a pint of water and leaves it in there, covered with foil (reflective side in!!) for a few hours - it's always, always perfect...
if you have a Costco anywhere near you, they sell the most wonderful lamb shanks and so easy to cook too, they only take about 20-30 mins, (they must be partly cooked) and are divine with loads of mash and veggies
